About us

SIL Mutual Fund (SIL) is one of New Zealand's longest-established personal superannuation funds, founded in 1959 to help New Zealanders save for their retirement.

The Scheme is managed by Superannuation Investments Limited, the Trustee responsible for overseeing administration and ensuring investments are managed according to the trust deed. Mercer (N.Z.) Limited (Mercer) supports the Trustee with investment management and administration, and the provision of financial advice.

SIL consists of two Schemes:

SIL Mutual Fund Personal Lump Sum Scheme (SIL Mutual Scheme)

SIL Mutual Fund Employer Lump Sum Scheme (SIL Employer Scheme)

Both Schemes were closed to new members on 16 September 2016. As an existing member, you continue to enjoy the great benefits of the Schemes.

The Trustee Board

The Trustee of SIL is Superannuation Investments Limited, represented by a Board of experienced directors who bring a wealth of knowledge in investment, governance and public service. Together, the Board ensures SIL is managed in the best interests of its members.
